Car overview
Description
1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible finished in Butternut Yellow with a black vinyl bench seat interior. This is a true SS (138 VIN), powered by an era-correct 396ci Big Block V8 paired with an automatic transmission. Built in Fremont, California during the second week of September 1966, this early-production convertible features smog components still in place, power steering, and a functioning black vinyl power top with a plastic rear window.
The paint shows a nice gloss front to back, complemented by well-preserved chrome and brightwork. It rides on rally-style wheels with center caps and beauty rings. A newer dual exhaust system has been installed, and a black vinyl parade boot is included.
Inside, the interior remains mostly stock with a few tasteful upgrades: an in-dash RetroSound stereo, column-mounted tachometer, and an under-dash gauge cluster (water temp, oil pressure, volts). The gauges, tachometer, and fuel gauge are all in working order. Seat belts are intact both front and rear. Wipers are currently inoperative.
This early-sequence Chevelle SS Convertible offers a blend of authentic muscle car heritage and classic open-air cruising, ready to be enjoyed.
